Well the line of reasoning is fine, but of course the beliefs it's founded on aren't exactly factual.
Plus we should remember that halting population growth is a great and necessary idea for a bunch of reasons, though obviously none of them involve the fantasy of global warming. I see similar flaws in the ilovecarbondioxide.com web site, which seems to say that because global warming is bunk we can all drive around in gas guzzlers with wild abandon.
Basically, we have to be careful not to throw the sustainable baby out with the warming bath water.
The best way to cut population growth in Third World countries is to bring their standard of living up to ours - this negates the need for large families

First off, I am not a climate scientist. But that's OK, since neither is Al Gore. However, I do have a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, so I am better qualified to comment on scientific matters than 99.9% of journalists you will read in the mainstream media.
