I used to think that intelligence counted for something in this world, but if you can be Prime Minister and sprout such hyperbole, I'm not sure anymore. These polititicians start their careers largely on moral agendas, and throughout their entire lifetimes never really get that science is not the same as morality.
I lack faith in humanity.
Still, if the warming is natural some of the islanders may have a little more water over their coral, and have to move their houses a little, or maybe relocate a few thousand or so. Talk about a national emergency. It would cost less than these conferences, and who organised these conferences in the first place? Bureaucrats organising conferences with nothing else to do I suspect.
