Earth Day predictions from 1970
Thanks to reader David F. Here are some of the Earth Day predictions from 1970. Some of them will sound scarily familiar to those being made today, which will be just as wrong:

Hang on, the 4th one makes no prediction of a timescale so it can't be wrong on that count. The 4th point doesn't belong in that list because it is totally correct.
Unless you think conserving resources and reducing pollution is a bad idea? What are you, some kind of kitten killer?

I agree, but it demonstrates the alarmism that is so prevalent in the media today has been there many times before.
(And no kittens killed today either!)
